About our Founder Susan Shivers, M.Ed.
Susan Shivers is a dedicated and experienced educator with a passion for supporting student success. She earned her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University and a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of New Orleans. Susan also holds a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas and has completed her coursework and certification in Instructional Leadership. She has met the State of Texas Science of Teaching Reading requirements, further strengthening her expertise in literacy education, and is currently pursuing certification as an Educational Diagnostician. With 26 years of experience in public education, Susan has taught in both Katy ISD and Lamar Consolidated ISD, making a lasting impact in her community. For the past 16 years, she has also worked privately with families, offering personalized guidance and support. Outside of her professional life, Susan is a proud mother of four children and grandmother to two beautiful grandsons. In her spare time, Susan enjoys crafting, spending time with her family, and cherishing moments with her beloved dogs. Her dedication to her family and her students exemplifies her commitment to nurturing growth, both in her personal and professional life. |
